Vocalist extraordinaire! Styles covering a wide range and often compared to the
likes of: Steve Perry (Journey), Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Dennis DeYoung (STYX), Lane Stayley (Alice In Chains), etc.
I started singing at the ripe old age of four or five. Basically had the gift right from the get go. My aunt Nancy is a music teacher and had me at the piano when I was little. Did all the choir stuff from grade school, through high school. Did all the state solo competitions, starred 1st's Freshman to Senior year. Also did all the High School Music Theater stuff, leading roles 3 out of 4 years. Also did a 4 year stint in a Masonic Swing Choir. (Kind of like Kids From WI.) After High-School took 3yrs. of voice lessons, to hone and polish the craft.
Experience:
- First band "Threshold"(1988) w/ high school friends. (Highlight: Played the Eagle Fireman's Parade on a Semi-trailer.
- "Revelation"(1989-90) w/former member Bill Nufer of "Junk Male" - Covers and Originals.
- "Roadkill"(1990-91) w/ Geoff McCormick - all Covers
- (1992) Moved to Michigan w/ 2 members of "Revelation" jammed in a project in Kalamazoo (?).
- "Camel Toe"(1993) w/ three guys from Battle Creek - Covers
Then had 2 1/2 yr. stint with 2 different Midwest touring bands.
- "Stage One"(1993-94) from Indianapolis did stints all over mid west. - All Covers
- "Savage Myth"(1994-96) All over Midwest - Covers and Originals w/ Geoff McCormick
Then moved back to Indiana to jam in another project w/ guitar player from "Stage One"
- "Junk Male"(1998-2000) w/ Bill Nufer from Revelation - All Covers {Did 4th of July Fest}
- "Spiny Norman"(2000-02) w/ Geoff McCormick - All Covers
Took a 2 1/2 yr. hiatus until now - "Category X".
Also like Kill recorded 2 demo's and they were w/ him.
Personal: Born March 17th 1970 in Madison WI. Rob is married, w/ 2gorgoeus
little girls and works as a counter top installer, along with other part-time trade labor jobs to help friends.
Influences: 1st and foremost the Faith that we have whatever that might be. Others are: Anything that Rocks 50's to Present. Grew up in the 70's and 80's big mix of stuff there.
Favorite Bands: Dream Theater, Journey, Fates Warning, Queensryche, Night Ranger, etc. Stuff that Grooves & Rocks
Hobbies: Music, Computer, All Sports, Spontaneity whenever possible.
